SYNOPSIS:
“EMPTY HANDS” is a true story of a polygynous man who lives with his 5 wives and 50 children in lodges in southern Iran. Despite having a big family, who form a village, he is lonesome but pretends to be a happy and successful man. He thinks that he exploits his wives and children but in fact he is exploited by his own master that all the family work on his farm just to have a better place to live. Finally his master promises to build him a house but this is when all his major problems start….
BIOGRAPHY:
Born in 1973 in Neishabour, Abdolreza Kahani begins his career at his young age as an actor, writer and director of theatre. As a director and an actor of several professional theatres he is an experienced man in this field. He holds his B.A. in actor of theatre and his M.A. in theatre direction. Kahani also has a slight experience with Television and has worked on the script of many other directors. His documentary “Travelers of Need” was awarded and appreciated in Iran. “Empty Hands” is a real story played by real characters and is his first long work.
