SYNOPSIS:
Rahman, a milk-delivery boy in a village in the north-west of Iran, is the prayer-chanter at the mosque. Being attracted by the icon of Holy Virgin in the local Christian church, a strong friendship develops between him and the old priest of the church. When an accident happens to the priest, Rahman and his blind friend Davud face new responsibilities.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born in 1958 in Tehran, Hamid Jebelli has passed the film and theatre training courses in the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. He made several 8mm films before starting his professional career as an actor. He is one of the most popular Iranian actors, has been also active as director, scriptwriter, photographer and puppet-player. Son of Maryam is director’s first feature film.
