SYNOPSIS:

In the night of the winter solstice (Shab-e Yalda), Hamed begins a dark journey into the recesses of the past. He, who has been in love with his wife Mahnaz, finds out the loss, betrayal and survival through his imposed loneliness, when his wife and his daughter Nazee have left Iran in search of a better future in Germany.

BIOGRAPHY:  

Born in 1949 in Isfahan, Kiumars Pourahmad started his work from 1974 as assistant director in a TV serial. After making some short films and TV series, he made his first feature film TATOUREH in 1984. It was ’Majid’s Stories” that made him totally popular in Iran. He was the assistant director of Abbas Kiarostami in ”Where is the Friend’s Home?” and now is one of the most active and famous Iranian directors.
