SYNOPSIS:
Samira Makhmalbaf goes to Kabul for making her next film, 5 in the Afternoon. Like before she goes between ordinary people and try to cast for the shooting. But in Afghanistan no one accepts to act in film. Everyone is afraid of the others. Mullah of the city is afraid of people. People are scared if Taliban would come back. Hana Makhmalbaf , Samira's 14years old sister, Follows Samira all the time during her process of casting. The film is focused on four Main characters: A mad family, a Mullah and two women.
BIOGRAPHY:
Hana Makhmalbaf Born on September 3rd, 1988 in Tehran. She started Makhmalbaf film school after she finished second grade and studied cinema for 8 years. She has been the script supervisor and photographer of a few films. Her first film ‘The Day My Aunt Was Sick’ received international attention at Le Carno Film Festival in 1997 when she was only 9 years old. At age 14 Hana made her first long film ‘Joy of Madness’ that competed in the Critics Week category at Venice Film Festival in 2003 and won two awards including the World’s Youngest Filmmaker award. She published her first book of poetry ‘Visa for One Moment’ in 2003 at age 15.
